    Note, PvP is enabled and allowed on the snapshot, but please respect the general rules of Pearlmc, including that scamming and bullying are not appropriate.

    Additionally, you are guaranteed to run into bugs on the snapshot server. The best thing you can do is search the official Mojang bugtracker to see if the bugs are already reported and if they're not, make new bug reports.

    It's cool that we already have a server running to demonstrate 1.9....However, the only problem is that since you need to change a few variables when creating the new profile, it takes a while to load. On the other hand, when it has loaded, then it's really cool to play on and to try-out the new features of 1.9!

    We're up to 15w31c with another handful of bugfixes. Reportedly, among the other tweaks, the backwards character in inventory view should be fixed now.

    A heads up, Mojang has introduced a new structure and increased stronghold count this week. The structure should be discoverable (presuming no generation bugs) by exploring into new chunks. I'm uncertain if additional strongholds will be found in the current map.

    An additional note, by preferring to wait a little bit for bug fixes (seeing if builds beyond "a" are made, or at least holding off a day) and making world backups, we have so far managed to avoid unrecoverable map corruption. I cannot make any guarantees on game versions that are pretty much developers trying out different ideas, but as long as you stay away from spawn (where griefing is most likely), it should be possible to keep progress week to week on the snapshot server. :)

    Mojang is teasing that we're getting close to 1.9 and snapshot updates are mostly about fine-tuning and bug fixing.

    For those having issues with taming horses, reportedly that's fixed. :)

    The snapshot server will be updated Thursday ~afternoon. The list of bug fixing changes is pretty long and I'd like to give a chance to see if there'll be a "b" build at least.
