Signshop(top)
Signshop is an alternative chest and sign shop that allows selling and buying items with enchantments and other data. It also allows more choice in formatting signs.
Usage(top)
The first line is the type (buy, sell, trade, or donate) of shop. Blue text means the shop has stock, red text means the shop is empty or broken, black text means the sign is not active as a shop.
The second and third line can be written however you like.
The fourth sign is the amount of Currency. You can format the amount with only a number or with additional text. Sell and buy shops count only RP Currency. Trade signs allow using Pearl or other items as Currency.
Punch a sign once to see the details of the shop, such as what exactly you will get, what you will pay, and how much stock is in the linked chest. Please make a habit of checking this information.
"Use" a shop sign to do a transaction with it.
Shop Creation(top)
Follow the sign formats shown above. Do not worry about the color of the first line, it will be automatically updated.
The chests(s) used for the shop do not have to be in the same area as the sign, but you should place the chest(s) on land you have claimed and is safe from other players accessing it.
Buy & Sell Signs(top)
Place the quantity of item you want a single transaction to use in the chest. This means if you are selling cobble at 32 cobblestone per transaction, then you should only place 32 cobble in the chest.
Equip a piece of redstone dust in your hand and hit the chest. You will be told that the chest location has been stored and what the chest contains.
Go to the shop sign and hit it with the redstone dust. You will be told if you have successfully linked the chest and sign, as well as the recorded rate and stock status of the shop.
Once the shop chest and sign are linked, you can remove or add items from the linked chest without altering the exchange rate.
Trade Signs(top)
Trade signs involves using two chests, one for the item you're accepting and one for the item you're giving. For each chest, place the quantity of item you want a single transaction to use in the chest. So if you want to sell 32 cobble for 1 Pearl per transaction, then one chest should only contain 32 cobble and the other should contain only 1 Pearl.
Equip a piece of redstone dust in your hand and hit the chest containing the item you want to receive. In the noted example, it would be the chest containing the Pearl. You will be told that the chest location has been stored and what the chest contains.
Next use the redstone dust to hit the chest containing the items you want to give. In the noted example, it would be the chest containing the cobblestone. You will be told that the chest location has been stored and what the chest contains.
Now go to the shop sign and hit it with the redstone dust. You will be told if you have successfully linked the chests and sign, as well as the recorded rate and stock status of the shop.
Once the shop chests and sign are linked, you can remove or add items from the linked chests without altering the exchange rate.
Donate Signs(top)
These allow people to give specific items to you without you giving things in return.
Note that you get the second through fourth line all available to write your own text.
Place the quantity of item you want a single donation to consist of in the chest. That means if you want to accept free bones one by one, you would only put one in the chest.
Equip a piece of redstone dust in your hand and hit the chest. You will be told that the chest location has been stored and what the chest contains.
Go to the donate sign and hit it with the redstone dust. You will be told if you have successfully linked the chest and sign.
